Description: 1977 Lola T440 Group Q. Chassis TU56. The car still has the original gearbox. Good US racing history including ex-Formula one driver, fully restored 2005 by Minda Motorsport.
Specifications: On the front row of the grid at the 2007 Winton Historics, fastest lap 1.04.1, showing it to be among the most competitive in Australia. A rare opportunity to own a famous name ‘world car’ in excellent condition.
History of Car: The original SCCA logbook shows it was first raced by the Bertil Roos Racing School, Roos was an expatriate Swedish driver linked to Lola and Haas and whose adventures can be found on the web, He raced it successfully for 3 years (see sample result attached) as did various subsequent drivers from his race team.

It then passed through various hands until Bruin Beasley of Minda Motorsport imported it in 2004. Chris Ralph purchased it in June 05 and a full restoration was undertaken, as shown in these pics.

As it didn’t have a log book a major process of tracking its history was undertaken, discovering in the process that it was the actual car raced by Bertil Roos, further boosting the significance of its history.

It now has a COD and Historic Log Book. At Sandown Historics in 2006 it qualified 5th in practice (see document) before unfortunately breaking the crank.
